On my way into work and the sunrise is unreal, decided tomorrow AM I will get up early and go somewhere pretty to watch it... Why? Cos I won't be chained to the house drinking tomorrow. ☺ happy weekend

I almost always get up on weekends now at sparrow's... sometimes I bound out of bed and go for a run, sometimes I wake up a little more slowly and potter about, sometimes I make myself a cup of coffee and get straight back into bed to read, surf the Net and laze about. It's all wonderful. Watching the sunrise sounds like a fantastic option.

Yeah, in sobriety, it's like the world has come back into focus.
I love mornings now. I was stood outside this morning as the sun was coming up, listening to the birds singing and the other morning I was making a coffee and saw a fox. Before, I would still have been in bed feeling sorry for myself.
There is a lot to be grateful for.

I woke up before sunrise this morning and went for a run. Stopped midway to take in the break of dawn. Venus and Jupiter were hanging like jewels above the horizon, on a canvas of deep orange, yellow, blue, and indigo.

Drinking coffee now, and listening to Pink Floyd.

I love sober mornings.

Love the little things to be grateful for in sobriety too! It snowed last night here in Colorado, and it's clear skies today. So beautiful the sunshine glimmering on the snow. Something I wouldn't notice if I were drinking still!
