Tomorrow is the big day
I am about 25 hours away from being alcohol-free for exactly one full year.
In two weeks I will be doing my first AA lead.
Today the weather is exactly as it was on my last day of drinking - gray and rainy. But last year I was anxious, panicky and dreaded living.
Today I feel good and have hope for the future. Things aren't completely wonderful and I still have some off moments but today I have the coping skills to deal with life without turning to alcohol to ease the pain.

I was a little on edge this morning but the weekends are always easier - but the on edge feelings were nothing compared to my drinking days.

The war is over -- now we keep it that way.
Congratulations
