Admitted to hospital with liver cirrhosis, and passed away during the night after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 51.

So sad. Such a funny man.

Many reports saying that he reputedly said he didn't want to live forever. Well, I've heard many an active alcoholic say that and then discover a new enthusiasm for living once they get sober - besides. 51 really is quite young isn't it.

Then read an article about how he decided to give up booze after a bender with Rob Smith of the Cure. I agree too young.

So very sad. I followed a TV program of his. He seemed such an intelligent, funny and kind person. He shook off the mortal coil, far too young. Rest in Peace, Sean.
