Some good news!

I finally got my lab work in and everything looks great! I feel like this is giving me even more motivation for a healthy lifestyle and staying sober. I'm not sure what a normal liver function result is but my ALT was 14 and my AST was 14 which was half of what they were 6 months ago.

I'm really happy to hear that, SIL. What a huge relief.

This is very encouraging! Congrats SIL.

I posted my own bad lab results before reading this. Makes sense that it takes several months to see improvement.

I've had anxiety for months about how much I had screwed up my body from drinking. Especially being a mother of 3 small kids I had Horrible guilt that I wasn't going to live to see them grow up. It's amazing how much things can change. It's only been about a month since I quit drinking (with 1 slip where I had 4 very strong beers last week) and it made a huge difference! So you will be fine, I know lab results are scary. Trust me I spent way too much time worrying about mine.
