New Personal Record
Today is day 72! I'm not going to lie, it's been a pretty rough ride. I do think though that this is going to be it for me. This forum has been a big part of me reaching this milestone. Also discovering what kindling is has really opened my eyes.
It's still a little overwhelming thinking that I'm never going to drink again, but I think that I'll just take a little time to get used to.
Have a nice weekend everyone.

Thanks!
Combo of therapy to address the underlying reason I drank (anxiety and OCD) and focusing on my distance running goals.
To ease the overwhelming feeling of never drinking again I say to my anxiety-you can drink again when you run a 100 mile race. Which if that ever does happen, by that time drinking will be a distant memory.
