Alcohol free celebration

I went to a pagan (spiritual ) wedding today. No alcohol was served and none was allowed on the premises of the sacred place.
The whole thing was wonderful, but the point I wanted to share was what a good time everybody was having. There was dancing and singing and fooling around and spontaneous conversations with people who hadn't met before. A beautiful day, a beautiful event. ......

I used to think drinking alcohol was essential to such events ( well, and to anything and everything actually), but it's not.

Xx

Sounds wonderful, Far.
I have mentioned on other threads that it was a real eye opener for me after I stopped drinking to see how many people there are who don't drink alcohol.
And how nice it is when people can have fun and find joy without drinking.
I have been to several sacred spaces in the UK.
Seems as though they would be lovely places to have celebrations.

Sounds awesome!
I used to belong to the norse pagan/heathen faith, but but there was always a lot of drinking at gatherings, and even though I would love to reconnect with the whole spiritual side of it, the heavy drinking at every gathering keeps me away
