I did it!

I managed to survive the day I was dreading. Airport and all without a solitary tear nor a thought of a drink. Plus I saw the ex who dumped me and maintained decorum and did not cry over that either. I kept it brief. Maybe I'm still in shock over the day, but I feel decent. Thankful.

Not to mention I have 30 days...today.

Today wasn't my favourite day ever, but it is life. That said? If I want to live, I have to deal. If I had drunk I would be a useless, emotional heap on the floor right about now. Drunk texting and just plain cutting my nose to spite my face.
Tomorrow I get to wake up clear headed after actually sleeping. No pangs of anxiety startling me awake. No insaitable thirst. No shakes. No embarrassment nor shame.

Thank you all for being here. Following a plan, a program and really committing to getting well with you all supporting is a cozy, homey feeling.

Congratulations Jules. I'm sure your success was about good preparation and commitment. You won't be sorry.

Savour the feeling of waking up without regrets about the previous day. In early sobriety that was my high point.

Don't allow yourself to relax yet. Do you have another goal now you've made it to a month?

Congrats Jules!! What a great thing to be able to go through something tough like that and stay sober.

Thanks all, especially for the Meme!!
My plan is to keep around here 😉
Continue hitting at least 3 meetings a day until I get a job. Then at least once daily.
Get a new job.
Get a new Sponsor.
Work on prayer in general.
Get back into hobbies.
Get back in the gym (vacation tummy is upon me!)

Focus.Take it one day at the time, get as humble as possible and put all things into perspective. I've seen worse...and today was no picnic but I got through it.
Very thankful.
Thanks again,
J
PS technically today is now 31 days 🔑
