The Most Fun Alcohol-Free Drink You Can Think Of
I'm having some friends over to discuss a project we've been working on, and I'd like to whip up something that is alcohol free and fancy enough to make sure my guests don't miss the alcohol too much.
Not only do I no longer drink, I also actively support sobriety in my circle. They know this, and so I don't think they're expecting alcohol, but i'd like to make something fun to show them it's really not horrible being sober hahaha
Any suggestions?

I have some family down in the deep south Alabama way and my sister in law makes this Punch that has the following ingredients in it:
1. Hawaiian Punch
2. Sprite
3. Pineapple Juice
4. Frozen Ginger Ale ice cubes
***No 100% sure on the exact ratios because it varied (nothing got measured down there when it came to food and drink). I would always hear just a pinch, squirt, dab, skosh, smidgen or the best one to date "when it tastes good".

If your friends / guests are not alcoholic then chances are that they don't look to their glass of drink for 'fun' anyway. For normies you DON'T NEED to make up for the lack of alcohol in the glass, and for an active alcoholic you CAN'T make up for the lack of alcohol in the glass. Two very different mindsets.
Why not supply a good cake instead? Or ice cream sundaes.
Wishing you all the best for your sobriety and recovery. BB

Ok so I have a 'thing' for Le Croix. Its been going on for years Turns out, its quite the cult drink in recovery circles. There's even funny youtube stuff....search Le Croix Boix (I think that's it). Who knew? Not sure why. Its just sparkling water in lots of different flavors. Soooo, go on the Le Croix site....there are tons of great mocktail ideas using this sassy beverage. Haha. Love my Le Croix. Never leave home without it!
I'm pretty boring in this department as well - I drink water, coffee and an occasional ginger ale for the most part. Every now and then I do like tonic water with lime too, although I suppose that could be "trigger" for some if you were used to mixed drinks with tonic. I was exclusively a beer drinker though so tonic is something new to me actually.

I like being able to re-create that feeling for others to show them it's totally possible to enjoy yourself and elevate the vibe of an occasion by using REAL FUN and a bit of surprise rather than cheating it by just throwing a mind altering substance in there and calling it a day.
There's totally a place for fun drinks! I'm a fun-drink-believer :P

Also, just incase someone is checking this out for reference for their OWN little get together, two drinks I've served that were a major hit were:
1) young coconut with a splash of pineapple juice served inside the coconut
2) watermelon lemonade (pureed watermelon in traditional lemonade) served inside half of a small, hollowed out watermelon
I also love the idea of a rootbeer float!
