Day 19 and BP much improved...

Got a check up from the Doc today and he was impressed that my BP was almost in the normal range.

I have a good BP machine @ home and I can tell you a month ago it was crazy bad.

My pulse was so high and erratic that it scared the crap out of me. Most of the day my pulse was above 100. Now it's in the mid to high 70's.

As much as we all know it, when you take the time to really look at what the booze is doing to your body it is a scary thing.

Thanks for all the encouragement here!

Same here, my BP went back down to normal ranges as well. The booze for sure does a number on our bodies, including BP.

My BP was thru the roof while drinking. It got better after I sobered up, but it was still too high. Been on BP meds for a couple of years now and it's really helped.

Great news Therpy....I also experienced BP and heart rate issues while I was still drinking and quitting definitely made a big improvement in both areas.

^^^^ Mine dropped to normal. I also started working out much harder.

It has taken the better part of 2 years to heal to a point where I can push myself without feeling extremely light headed.

I have heard here that some folks still get improvements after 7 years.

It is incredible to think some high level athletes can drink excessively and still perform.

I bet if they stayed ultra clean their performance would have even been better.
