It's been a pleasure the driving the sober bus today, you are all such great company. Tomorrow I thought we'd try out the tourist coach.

Good morning Lascaux & Purp. Everyone ready for pickup?
Thompson, Manitoba
If you know nothing about mining (I suspect most of don't), this Manitoba monument might have you looking twice. The King Miner statue was erected to honor the men and women who work in the mining industry. It was erected in July 1981 for Thompson’s 25th anniversary.

What a ride!!! Hope we have a full bus load!
This is going to be a real treat! Take us away driver!
Lascaux,
Ah--the first sober weekend, I remember being concerned about how the heck am I going to not drink on the weekend! (My last drink was on a Sunday and two days later on a Tuesday was my first meeting.)
Thankfully I asked someone after my second meeting (that Wednesday) about staying sober over the weekend. An AA angel told me 'Tonight as you lay your head on your pillow, thank HP for another day sober. And tomorrow morning when you wake up, ask HP to help you stay sober that day. Keep doing it and you'll be ok.'
OMG! That weekend came and went without much thought of the booze. I was just so excited to wake up w/o being sick and having to look for bruises.
Yikes! I better hush up now and take my seat.

My pleasure Lascaux.
Thanks for the ride Dragon.
The weekend has very nearly arrived thank goodness. I stayed up until 1am last night watching our baffling General Election results come in.
This enterprise seems to have a hands on approach to HR.

Don't worry Purp if you can't check-in. Just think of us and the sober bus will be with you. If you want, we'll pick you up and drop you off at work.
Funny Sao, "The beatings will continue until moral improves"
I remember my first week very well. Each morning I found some improvement and marveled at it. (like my first solid morning bowel movement. Sorry, TMI?)
