Tough day for some reason
Tough day for some reason
Hello all,
I've been sober for six weeks today in fact, but today's cravings are killing me! Very hard to stay focused on anything. Feel anxious, fidgety and my joints are aching (this is something new jeez), been eating well and consuming a lot of water. Oddly today feels like day three when I called it quits on the drinking. Maybe I need some vitamins or a good herb tea recommendation.
One thing is for sure today is I will not drink.
Have a good weekend all!

These kinds of days just happen. Just ride it out and get some extra support and TLC for yourself.
It will pass; I have never, ever regretted not giving in to a craving. Nice going on 6 weeks!

Six weeks , thats amazing, awesome and crazy!!!!! Very proud of you and I dont know you, but what I do know is that we're all in this together.
Go for a run, go outside , get you mind off those cravings, KEEP IT UP!

Its been a long bumpy road and took me a long time to admit that I am an alcoholic. I really jumped the shark the last eight months when I brilliantly made the switch to drinking Vodka, it was a game changer for the bad. Looking back, that high octane beer I drank was just as evil.
Thanks for the kind words.

My attempt to quit drinking in 2013 only lasted 4 months and during those months I had terrible cravings the whole time.
Today I am over 7 months sober and the difference this time is I am going to AA, working a program, changing my life and my ways of thinking.
Anybody can just stop drinking - you need to change and work a recovery program to truly be sober.
