30 Days
30 Days
For the first time... ever... I have been staying sober for myself. Not to please others. Not on the condition that x, y, or z happens. Unconditional sobriety just for me.
I just thought I would share that today is 30 days going on a lifetime. I'll never forget March 13, 2017. I may have a hard time forgiving myself, but at least I stopped digging. I am feeling positive and I hope some of that positivity shines through to others that are struggling.

Well done on getting to the one month mark, that's always been a milestone for me, after which the alcohol craving are generally gone.
The cautionary tale, at least from my experience is to be on your guard as the months clock up, since you can easily begin to believe you are a 'cured' alcoholic, and that one drink wont hurt.
Think of it more of being an alcoholic in remission, and the evil disease can very raise it's ugly head again and again
