Double digits

10 days withdrawal symptoms are starting to easy .. this is 5th time in 20 years I have made it to double digits... I'm newly aware How dam poisonous alcohol can be and more on the psychological side then physical... and I'm sticking to my guns they are never getting an other dollar of profit from this guy's wallet ...
I also under stand was it's hard to quit withdrawal symptoms go away with just a few drinks..this were I severely lacked education I just assumed it was a bad hangover not a withdrawal but I did learn a few drinks feeling better ..very naive.. but why would I know different..
thanks for all the stories to help me get though 10 days .. thanks for helping me get my life back to healthy place and stop the poison cycle ...

Good job Rocket , keep it up.
We either quit or we face a bad life and a high percentage of dying from alcohol related diseases or accidents.

Congrats on 10 days

My withdrawals last about the same amount of time when I stop. No fun

That's great!

What is your plan to keep going? Lots of good suggestions here- I always chime in that a strong AA program has saved my life.

Good luck- hope to see you around.

Congrats Rocket! 10 days is like a lifetime for us alcoholics. I still got night sweats once in a while until around 50-60 days. At least now you know you don't need the in-TOXICants anymore. It's time to work on the space between your ears to maintain sobriety and create a happy sober life. Good luck and many prayers

Well done Rocket for making it this far.
I, like you have quit many times over the past 3 decades, but could never make it stick.
I'm hoping that now I have found SR, and can talk though those times when I feel stressed or tempted I can make it stick this time.
I'm about 20 days ahead of you, in fact it'll be exactly 4 weeks tomorrow at 2PM, not that I'm counting, so lets try to do this together.
