I am almost 5 months sober.

I just got done moving some pictures off of my IPhone onto my computer.

I looked at some pictures of myself from March 2016 and boy did I look awful. Bloodshot eyes, bloated face, blotchy skin.

What an improvement in my appearance at only 5 months sober.

It will only get better!!

That's great- and SO true! And it does keep getting better. Great job on 5months.

I started my current job at at 5 months, and have had people tell me in the past month -I am now at 13 mo- that I look like a completely different person....and I was already looking better at 5!! Words like "glow" and "so healthy" come from nearly everyone and it feels so good.

Keep going!! Everything, everything is better sober.

yeah some of my old pics scare me. i can see the look on my face and recall the panic and crap i as dealing with etc..

My daughter looked at a picture of me from a few years ago and said, wow you lost a lot of weight. When I looked at it I was amazed.

It's funny how the bad (alcoholism) creeps up on you, but it is also as amazing how the good does too. I didn't really realize how much progress I have made until I looked at that picture.
