I am a recovering alcoholic that quit drinking almost 3 months ago. I am 45 years old and a despite that I am a cigarette smoker, I went to the DR recently and my BP was a 98 over 60. Is this normal?
If your doctor was not concerned I would trust their judgement. If you are experiencing issues because of it you could always get a second opinion. We can't tell you if it is a "normal" reading though because giving medical advice is not allowed here on the site.
As it's been pointed out that might just be your normal. I would suggest being cognizant of standing up fast. If you get light headed or faint, then see a DR asap. My BP was always elevated from the booze and the way I monitored it was taking it at the grocery store or CVS on the BP machines they have. They aren't accurate per se but they will be consistently inaccurate and I would set an appointment if I noticed a spike. Good luck and many prayers
