I cannot believe what a little over a year has accomplished. I will never forget those nights and weekends when I was so bored not drinking.

Fast-forward and my life is full. I no longer think of suicide. My heart does not race at 2:30 a.m. I take care of myself. I am more present. Life is great. For those of you just starting out, stick with it. Just don't take that first drink.

You can do it, I was a life-long drinker for many many years. I do not miss it. Not even for St. Pat's.

Good for you htown, sounds like your doing so well. Loving the sober life myself. At least most days. Very well done

That's wonderful to hear, Htown. We do go through many phases - I'm happy to know your life is fulfilling now. I know others will appreciate your thoughts & learn from them.

Awesome on the one year+.

I know what you mean - I have so much energy now and never seem to have enough time to do everything I want.

All those years I wasted feeling miserable and hungover everyday until I started drinking the rest of everyday away.

Day 8 today, technically. But I've chosen Pi Day as my sobriety date because how awesome is that?

I'm jittery and can't even address an envelope.
