Supplements for Early Recovery?

Early in recovery here and one of the tools in my sober toolkit is really focusing on nutrition. Today I starting taking L-Glutamine after reading about how it can help curb cravings, cut brain fog and repair your gut (mine has been a mess from drinking). I know medical recommendations are a no no on these boards, but can anyone share personal experiences on this and other supplements they have found helpful in recovery? It may just be placebo, but today I took about 3grams of L Glutamine, a multi Vitamin and a B complex and I feel awesome this evening!

I understand that recommendations of supplements falls under the category of giving medical advice. But chronic drinkers are usually deficient in their b vitamins, so no matter how much sleep they get, or how much coffee they drink, they will always be tired, unless those are supplemented.

We have a medical advice rule for a reason, not to be nannys but for everyone's safety. Even OTC supplements can be harmful if not taken correctly. Asking for others experience is the same thing as asking for medical advice, your body has different needs than the next person, so I'd encourage you to speak with your doctor if you feel you have issues that are not improving.
