I have been sober 137 days and I started going to AA about 9 weeks ago.

I finally got a solid sponsor - a 72 year old guy that is about 20 years older than me. We are going to do Step 5 together next week.

I had a hard time trying to ask someone to sponsor me and I even went to a priest to see if he would do it.

But last night this guy "appointed"myself to be my sponsor and he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Things are finally coming together for me in the AA program. For anyone unsure or not making it in AA just keep trying and keep going- it took me over 50 meetings until things got to where I am now. No miracles happen overnight.
