Its actually been 106 days since I stepped away from booze, but today has been a challenge for me, so I'm back on SR for inspiration and to help me remember that my life is an opportunity and a gift, not an excuse to open a bottle. Seems to be working, so thanks again SR folks!

Good to see you. 106 days is wonderful. Wise of you to come back for some motivation & encouragement. I find it every day here.

Congrats on 106 days. It just keeps getting better for me. Best thing I ever did-quit drinking. Almost a year for me. Good luck to you.

Get to a meeting, call a sober friend, go for a walk/run/swim, go to a coffee shop, grab the big book and read. Hope you didn't pick up you know the end result of going to the bottle.

You've got over three months sober! That's wonderful! And the longer you're sober, the better it gets.

Congrats on 106 days!

Thanks everyone. Exercise saw me through yesterday evening and I felt a lot better afterwards. Had to dig deep, though, which was a bit of a surprise as I had thought I had got over the worst of cravings etc, but it seems not. Serves me right for lowering my guard.

Cravings come at weird times and places. I had one yesterday for the first time in a while. I was driving home and smelled a skunk. Well it reminded me of Heineken and I thought man that would be good.
