Bunny, you made me laugh out loud and I needed that today!

Yes to the carbs in the early days. Cinnamon sugar bagel crisps. Raspberry Dove bars. And the chocolate...oh the humanity.

Whatever works!

If it's not in the house then I won't eat it.

That's a constant reminder to myself when I go
to the grocery store.

I don't need it and the older I get the slower
my metabolism is and the harder it is to work
off what I put in my body.

I absolutely do not like this advice I give
myself because I love food.

Moderation please.

Haha! Oh yeah, the food industry knows very well how to make completely addicting food. And oreos are one of their masterpieces!

I have discovered I have systemic candida. The rash it caused on my stomach and back is/was so heinous that even the sight of sugar scares the crap out of me. Talk about aversion therapy. I knew I was eating too much sugar (aside from having a really healthy diet) so I guess I had to wait until it got THAT bad. Right before the Candida took over my sugar cravings were more intense than any alcohol craving. I guess I can look at this outbreak as an intervention from my HP. I had no choice but to stop. And I'm quite sure my insane alcoholism is what caused the dysbiosis in the first place.

Honestly, I feel so much better since completely cutting out sugar and refined carbs 2 weeks ago. And I've lost an honest 4lbs which for me is huge. I'm pretty pumped up about it.

Throw out the oreos!

Frickaflip, did you just quit cold turkey? I have candida but I just find it so hard to quit sugar. Or else I do what I did with booze "oh tomorrow I'll give up so I better binge today!"

Sorry to go off topic!

Ice cream, M&Ms, non-pareils , Hershey kisses - you name it, I had a stockpile of it!!!!!

The sugar cravings will subside, in time . . . .

M & M's are like free-basing chocolate, caffeine and sugar.

What's to not like?

I had to force myself to put away the Ben & Jerry's or I would finish the container and get sick! Spaghetti was another weakness, I ate spaghetti 3 days a week.

I posted this last night. I am looking at them today. They are propped up....like displayed. I backed away.....I took out a whole column last night. Two cookies are 140 calories. I didn't even count how many are in a column. I shudder to think!!!! HELP!

Haha, I'm sure we can all appreciate this post. Careful with the sugar though! Everything in moderation, right?

slightly deviating from the topic but I know i got a sugar problem I get all giddy when white sugar is on sale at the grocery store cause i've been known to spike my smoothies with a cup or 2... *gulp*

when i make lemonade for the family i do 4 cups of sugar 1 cup of lemon juice per gallon i usually put in a hair more sugar. its like lemon nector hahaha. Kids come running from all corners of the house when they hear dad made lemonade again and my wife sits there screaming about all that sugar lol.

i embrace my sugar issues tho. I eat super low fat instead and run so it works for me.

Hey elihoping

Pm me and we can talk candida. Yes I quit cold turkey. But we can talk offline so the sugar thread doesn't become the anti sugar thread
