I thankfully lost my taste for sweets back in the late 90s. I think some of it was just my body changing, but I also put some effort into abstaining. After a few weeks, all the cravings disappeared. Now I'm all about the savory, salty, and crunchy. Queso and chips might be the death of me yet.

What about Cheez Its? Food of the gods. I would try to moderate my intake by purchasing the individual packets. Then I rationalized that eating 5 packets was perfectly ok because they are small. Now I have given up and am back to the jumbo sized boxes of Cheez Its.

I don't moderate. Alcohol is a no, and food is a yes. I ate a lot of food. Some good, some junk. I didn't care if I overate. Just don't drink baby.
