Detoxing

It feels terrible. I had 36 beers over the past 48 hours. Have to detox to get sober again.

I once drank 35 beers in one night. The next day I thought I was dying.

I feel your pain.

Good luck to you.

Yup, and every time we go through it, it gets a bit worse and we're more likely to encounter serious medical issues like seizures. You can make this the last detox of your life, if you want it to be.

There's no way around it but it's always temporary, and as others have mentioned you never have to do it again if you don't want to, right?

Not sure what your history is with detox but as mentioned, make sure you have access to medical help should things get too bad. Is there a family member or friend that knows what you are doing that can intervene if necessary?

This is the feeling you want to remember the next time you think you need to drink again. I pulled this with Rum. Drive heaves...disoriented. Dizzy. In the Zone for three days. This could be your day 1.

This is my day 1. Its taking everything I have to not go through the drive thru and buy a drink. I've got to hang in there and not give in.

That's why most of us needed help from outside...willpower alone is no match for addiction in many cases. Coming here is a good idea...have you considered seeking local help through a support group perhaps?
