30 days tomorrow

Will be 30 days tomorrow and will get my first 30 day chip Friday! I'm completely shocked I made it this far. Other than a few times I thought/wanted to drink, hasn't been as bad as I feel like I really needed to quit. Been going to meetings when I can but this week I can only get to one Friday due to work. I've been on here for years but this is the first time I've made it this far. Feel good physically and mentally is still a fog but everyday is a step in the right direction at this point. Don't why I made this thread but wanted to. I'm streaking!

Congratulations Rock! You rock (alright, that was a little cheesy)! Kidding aside, 30 days is a great accomplishment. It is about that time when you can start to really see the benefits of sobriety and a new sober life slowly starts to become the norm rather than the exception. Great work so far! Keep it up.

Great job!! Keep it up!!

Thanks usually I would take 2 weeks and be right back into because in the back of my mind I always knew I was going to drink. Not feeling like that this time. AA meetings have been a huge help and I've actual participated in them for the first time

Congrats, Rock!

^^^^^ Ditto!! Ditto, ditto, ditto.

To say I went kicking and screaming into sobriety and into AA is a huge understatement. I was DONE with drinking last Feb and I finally submitted to AA. Life- and game-changer. I work a very hard program and can honestly say that my recovery/faith/program (all entertwined now) is my number on priority and it is awesome.

Keep going!! As we say "it works if you work it"- I know I have met some of the best people I have ever known in the rooms and I ardently believe that following the people who have what I want is a big part of my ongoing sobriety.

Congrats Rock on 30 days! It will only get better for you the longer you stay sober.

Congragulations.:c011: Everyday sober is a victory imo. I think somoene on here named Dee told me that years ago i cant remember, but some of the stuff people told me on here stuck with me for years. Im approaching a month myself. Everytime i stop drinking i gain more self confidence and feel hopeful about the future. :)
