50 Days
50 days and still sober,
Before this sober time I haven't had anything more than 26 days. I gained 28lbs while in Rehab, and have been maintaining it since I left. I've been working out regularly and finally started running again, preparing for a few 5K runs this summer. I also quit smoking Jan.1-15 and just stopped again yesterday hopefully for good. But this is probably the healthiest I've been since I was 13 years old and it's wonderful. I get normal sleep now and I'm getting things done like I'm suppose to. I got a new job and have an interview for another in a few days. Hopefully I can continue this way of life and be productive. I would also like to advocate for Addicts and Alcoholics in the future. but one day at a time for now.

Great job! It was fun to start counting up the "10s"
Re weight....I needed to gain about 15 when I quit last Feb (! almost a year!) and have probably gained 20. I don't like my tummy though the bf can't believe I am bothered by it and I have cut myself slack about the sweets....I am healthy, I too started running again and now we are doing a 5K a month - started in Dec then decided to do one each month of 2017- so much fun.
You're sober, which is the most important thing. You can keep getting healthier all around and weight and diet are a part of it. Self-care v appearance has been my focus- and frankly, I do think I look better than ever and 100% of the people I see who knew me before (even pre-alcoholic-ly) are amazed. I personally think it's because I am happy and sober and living right.
Keep going!
