Glad you have started going and are willing to keep going back.
Your comments and those of others make me think of some of the why behind the suggestion of 90 (meetings) in 90 (days). One reason for that is to get into the habit of going to meetings- another is to learn the program through a variety of meetings (or getting your regular one- many people at my big clubhouse started out just going to the noon meeting held seven days a week) so you begin to understand the program. Essentially- give AA a real chance.

I did about 80'in 90. I took the ninety in ninety to be a metaphor for total immersion in AA. The deal I made was that I would give the whole deal an honest shot for ninety days, steps, sponsor, meetings, prayer etc, and if I didn't like the result, I could leave.
Come ninety days I was on step nine and those promises were coming true in my life. I forgot all about leaving.
