Well it is 60.

Thanks. I will also thank you in advance for the 90. I see nothing standing in my road to life long sobriety.

Doug, I went to AA meetings for a few months in the beginning and they give out coins (some call them chips) for length of sobriety. I thought that first month would take six years to pass, I was so uncomfortable in my skin. When I went up to receive my 1 Month coin I took my 24 Hour coin and told the guy I was turning it in - recycling. He said, "We do things one day at a time here."

I said, "I'm never going back there!"

the problem I see with that, doug, is psychiatry and AA aren't self help.

dealing with things my own way got me to the doors of AA. early on I hadda problem and a man in AA could read it all over me. after the meeting he asked me of there was something on my mind.
"yeah, but ill figure it out."
he gave a pretty big laugh and said,"and how has figuring things out on your own been workin for ya?"
I learned later he laughed like that because he had the same problem- a wee bit of an ego problem.
humility never hurt anyone
lack of it has destroyed nations.
