Not much sleep. Going to watch the Hobbit to pass the time. Never been on Librium before. I don't feel it's working but it beats the alternative.

Hey Mester

Detox is never comfortable, even with drugs. But the drugs should keep you out of the danger zone. If you feel something is really off call the dr. Maybe they can give you an Ativan taper instead. But its still gonna be a bit rough.

Hang in there you're doing great. I have read so many posts here of people in so much pain, not to mention danger, and they refuse medical help, and ultimately drink. You didn't do that. You took the first step. That is huge!

Yep, detox is not a fun thing no matter how you slice it. The librium is mostly there to help prevent severe withdrawal symptoms, it's not really going to make you "feel better" unfortunately.

One of the things that I found helpful in early sobriety was to very deliberately plan my days out and write down a daily schedule. Even simple things like "read a book" or "clean the kitchen" fill up the time and leave less idle time for your mind to wander.

I hope your detox is going well. Just keep remembering, you'll NEVER have to do it again! This can be the last time! With support you can stay sober. Prayers for you.

Hello Mester.

For me, detox was all about getting through the day.
And then, a few days in, I would feel much better.

Last time, I gorged on documentaries.

You're doing great.
