Day 8
Hallo!
Day 8 here.
I keep relapsing and binge drinking like crazy, but it has started causing troubles with my husband, and day to day life, and gives me severe anxiety. It seems like a no - brainer to quit.... so why does it take so long to come to this realization?
I have an appointment with my doctor today, as she wants to put me on medication to control the cravings. I am also calling a local out - patient program this afternoon.
I am serious. I will do this.
All solidarity is appreciated and probably much needed.

Congrats on day 9 LG! The exhausting can take a while, you are still very early in the process though. Our bodies take time to recover from all the abuse. Make sure you are getting enough good food and water, as well as rest. If you really have concerts don't hesitate to see a doctor for a general physical, it's not a bad idea after quitting to do so anyway.
I treated myself like I was recovering from a serious illness, because I was.
I didn't get consistently eight hours a night for a couple/three months. I just slept whenever I got the chance. Turns out it was a great way to ignore drinking thoughts, too.

Day 12, and day two on Naltrexone! I am unreasonably exhausted, which is apparently a fairly common side effect... does anyone have any experience with this? I had a 6 hour nap today and am still very tired. Also, no appetite whatsoever, I had to force myself to have a sandwich today...
Still trying to see the bright side though! Only two days away from two weeks!

Tomorrow is day 14, and i am SO EXCITED about it! The Naltrexone is definitely working, although it makes me not want to eat at all, too. However! I turned down a rum and eggnog tonight which is so great and very unlike me! Yay!
I hope you are all having a good holiday as well.
