Wqd
I was a member of the website wqd and I was just going back to look at where it all began and what my original post was. It was sad to see that the website was no longer available. If anyone knows how to get a post from the WQD website it would be greatly appreciated.

I was too. I was Gardengirl over there. I wish some times that people could see my posts from there! Then they would know I struggled from 2008 to 2016 there....just a bunch of long, meandering, overly flowery garbage AV posts! Although that’s what I post now...minus the AV.
There are some people there who would be so, so, so relieved to see that I finally took care of this nonsense. It wasn’t SR that caused me to quit, although I was so relieved that SR was here when I saw WQD was down in 2017. It was a coincidence that I was done relapsing when I found SR.

We Quit Drinking?
He died recently. I think his name was Jonas. He touched many with his site that he started to help his friend get sober.
I remember Happy-Suzanne-and the Get Smart guy...funny how you remember the avatars.
I remember my first post ever the night I quit.
The first response was "hang on Andrew, others will come"
They did.

Happy and Suzanne I remember, too. And many others; Ronnie, Olive, Jackalope, Beckett....some who I spoke to on the phone, just lovely people. There was a strong rational recovery element to wqd that I think I must have internalized all those years because when I finally did quit, I was still thinking along those lines.
Thanks for updating me, I’m so sorry for his family’s loss.

I miss their journal section. I think having your own continuous journal engendered a bigger feeling of accountability. It helped you look for people by name and keep an eye on them. People would visit my journal if I didn’t show up. The journal made me feel guilty if I didn’t post!

That’s true, I could launch a campaign for everyone to start journals in the blog section. . I don’t think it would get very far though, you’re right there are several people who have started their own threads.
