Drinking on psych and fibromyalgia meds
 

I have schizophrenia and fibromyalgia doing my best with bad genes. And I'm an alcoholic. I stayed sober for four years ending four years ago. Today is day one drank one 16 oz beer yesterday and feel horrible. See once I relapsed four years ago my tolerance grew quick but schizo meds bad mix but with fibro meds even one beer and I pay the price. Did I want to drink a 16ozer no I wanted to drink much much more but I can't. This has kept me not drinking much all year thing is I just keep doing it over and over and don't know why. I just can't reach ten days more likely a week. I had a psychotic break which lasted over a year while taking my medication. I got a new psych and tryed to switch my antipsychotic med bad Idea 2016 was well insanity. Thing is I'm stable now and really want to quit drinking just writing about it makes me want to drink. I haven't been to an AA meeting since July totally made an ass out of myself when I was in a psychotic break. I fought it tooth and nail I can't stay sober without AA support heading back to the rooms.

I thought you had made the decision to go back to AA recently DS...did you not go? I think that's the right choice.

I am an alcoholic and have schizo-affective disorder. I have found AA to be essential to my recovery.

I think everything you shared here could have been shared at an AA meeting, at least those I attend. I hope you can find a meeting soon that accepts you for what you are.
