Irriated afteroon

I found myself getting very irritated this afternoon. Not sure why, no real reason for it and it's not normal for me. Wife and I were doing yard work and I just didn't like the way things were going. I just left it all and took a nap. Felt better and then got on with a project by myself in the garage for the rest of the day and evening. Had a few fleeting thoughts about beer but easily brushed them aside (I always drank when working in the garage).

You listened to your body, that was smart. I wish I could build a nap into each day, don't think I can sneak that in at work though!.

I can relate and napping is one of my main tools, too. Some kind of "break" is usually what I need even when I can't pinpoint what's bugging me, or it doesn't seem like anything should be.
Good job!

I have learned in sobriety (although not always used) that when I get into the oh poor me's it's best for all that I get away by myself and give myself some time to think it all through.

I usually break from this mode by thinking thoughts of being grateful.

Take a long walk. Like until you're physically tired.
