30 Days. I did it. This is the longest I've stayed sober in at least 10 years. A lot of water has gone over the dam in the last month. I'm a superstar all week long, but weekends can be a bit sketchy yet. Gotta stay diligent. I am cleaning up my diet a lot more, started running again, planning on a new PR at a 5K race in another month. I can tell my wife knows somethings up... amazing how a spouse responds when an addict sobers up and stays that way. But I still have work to do, prolly always will... Plan to reward myself somehow, not sure what yet. Perhaps some new running gear? ETA: This makes 300 posts on SR!! (I didn't try that!!) |
Well done Steve, keep it up :You_Rock_ |
Hooray! Go, you! |
Definitely new running gear! |
Great going Steve - congrats :) D |
Congrats on a month Steve. You've been doing a great job of staying in front of the issues that pop up and coming here to discuss them, keep it up! |
30 days - how wonderful, Steve. We knew you could. |

Great job Steve! Sounds like you're doing really good :) I love running too. Can't do it much, but glad to hear you're finding healthier ways to cope. I hear you about weekends being sketchy. I find them tough at times too. |

I remember looking back and thinking the same thing -- this is the longest that I have been sober in a very, very long time. It's a nice feeling and something to hold tightly. Regarding your wife -- I often say here. A Happy Queen makes for a Happy King. Enjoy her as she will now that you are sober enjoy you more. M-Bob |
well done!! |
Congrats, Steve, on your 30 days. I sure hope you stick around and don't drink again. My sober life has been infinitely better than the garbage life I had when I was a drunk. As an aside, I have also been spending money on running gear as of late. But I'm putting it to good use. |
Awesome!! |
