Yeah, you guys are pretty low lying- hope there's not too much flooding? I lived in greenville during Floyd. Bad stuff.

We made it through in Gainesville just fine. We had friends evacuate from Jacksonville that stayed with us until yesterday.

I was here during Floyd, too , and this storm is drawing many comparisons. My earlier report of the river encroaching on the border of my back yard should be updated. It has now submerged about half of it! The river is supposed to crest during the night tonight so I hope they have their facts and figures straight. Otherwise, I'm gonna need a Plan B. And maybe a Plan C.

I haven't ventured down that way yet, but I did see on the news that a few neighborhoods were evacuated in that area.

I haven't been to Greenville since the 90's. I live in CA now. I still remember the devastating flooding. Scary stuff.

We ended up losing power. Just got it back last night (out for 33 hours). We are in clean-up mode and the neighborhood is coming together to help one another out. We had no damage, thankfully.

I hope everybody is doing okay!

Glad to hear you are back online mfanch, that's a long time to be without power. Sometimes disasters bring out the best in folks and hearing that your neighborhood is all pitching in to help each other is heartening.

Glad to hear others affected by the storm are pulling through. The river here finally crested during the night and the levels are finally on the decline. Whew!

It's good to hear that everyone seems to have come through the hurricane fairly unscathed!
