Channeling my inner-Jason Statham...
 

As I have been reading and participating in many other threads here as of late, I see some trends: sobering up for ourselves, staying sober for our families, etc. Don't let people knock us down, stand up for ourselves and so on. These all have been very inspirational the past few days.... I thank you!

My wife and I are slowly making amends. As mentioned in another thread, I have a long road ahead at gaining back her trust, but we are talking about it at least, which is further than we got before! Praise God for this.

Not to go into details, I am fighting a battle in another relationship. My name has been slandered even after sobriety. I've been told I am a lost cause, I'll never find victory in sobriety, I am a deadbeat.

To these people I say (in my best gritty British accent):
If you're gonna knock me down, you better knock me out. Because I am gonna back up and come after you!

'nuff said.


(ETA: Don't think this is an actual movie quote. Jason Statham is just that cool tough guy I always think of saying cool tough guy things like the above!)

Happy to say that taking revenge on somebody is never a good strategy.

I should edit this. What I meant was that I'm not gonna let life keep pushing me down and keeping me down. Not that I'm gonna go after people!!

Sorry! I let my man-crush on Statham get the best of me!!
