Very sorry for your loss. Have peace in knowing that he's not suffering. Have a co worker that used to have frequent seizures when withdrawing from alcohol. It's a dangerous situation when you quit and detoxing from it must be done under the watch of a clinical staff.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It means alot to be able to come here and talk about it with those that understand. It still seems surreal. I myself am going on 11 weeks sober and other than some side pain I seem to be doing ok. I have an appointment with my MD today to make sure. It's just so unbelievable. Sometimes the guilt is overwhelming. I just sit and ask why him? Why so young? There were no obvious signs until it was too late. I know it's out of my control. It was never in my control to begin with. I DO know I have control of my future and there's no place for alcohol in it anymore.
