occasionally I just like to count days sober - Pt 6

Here we all go again sober folks, time to watch and count those sober days.

Still counting here on the mountain (days sober)
Grateful -- very grateful.
Sure is nice watching you all add up your sober days, months and years.

Occasionally I just like to see my sober days called out on my desktop.
To be honest I wouldn't even be exactly sure of my days sober
if they were not there in my face each day.
I see nothing wrong with keeping track of total days sober.
If some of you wish to join in
please feel free to post your days of sobriety here.

If I keep doing what I have been doing for over 8 years now
each day sober is a record for me.
note -- this is after many, many attempts to stay sober

today I have 3,221 days sober

yes -- I'm very grateful
for my life is not a battle today
the drinking war is over
if
I do not deceive myself yet again
as I have done so many times before
thinking that this time I can control my drinking
in my case (always proven to be wrong)

have a blessed sober day,
Mountainmanbob

Still keeping track too, 1523 days away from madness.

That's all we have to do Dave.
Then we can add yet another day.
Sure beats waiting until midnight to have another drink.

Even after being away from the drink for well over 8 years
I still remember that constant sickening craving for booze back then
and the freedom felt today in sobriety goes beyond measure.

I hear you Chief, the insanity back then was overwhelming.
Yet at the time we tried our best to believe it wasn't that bad.

I'm in the 620's or 630's. I'll have to check my planner where I keep count. I haven't looked at it in a week or so.

Get on that thing.
Not really -- I wouldn't know either if it wasn't for my computer telling me.

3,222 days with not much sorrow brought on from the drink.

You are only a couple of days away from 200.
Remember in the beginning -- we dreamed of such a sober amount of days.
