Close to Tempted.

I got as close as I ever got during a business trip to picking up the bottle. On a quick same day turn around trip Southwests servers went down after I had already went through security and arrived at my departure concourse. I was stranded with thousands of other passengers. Later that night everything closed but one single bar. I was stuck there for 5 hours listening to people yelling and being obnoxious after having nothing to do but drink hour after hour. After the stress mounted of being stuck I caught myself wondering if a drink would turn the stress off. Then due to the overload of passengers in the concourse the air conditioner stopped working. Thankfully it did not last long as all the good memories I have created the last year and change being sober filled the space doubt had created. I can imagine worse scenarios to endanger sobriety but thankfully I have not reached them yet! I finally made it home at 4:30 am and I couldn't have been more happy to be home and sober.

Glad you made it through that, what a miserable situation it must have been. A testament to your progress though, great work!

Incredible testimony, indeed. I'm glad you made it though unscathed. Keep that momentum going.

You made the best decision in spite of a terrible time. You didn't let a fleeting buzz cause life altering consequences.

Nicely done. Pretty sure I would not have made it in a similar situation.
