Not an Alcoholic?

I never take the liberty to declare someone an alcoholic, or addict, or whatever. I can say that the statement: "I've never passed out, have often had just one drink and no more in a day, my physical came back fine, no legal or work repercussions, etc" was also true for me up until about the last year of my 28-year drinking career. Well, it's been a while since I could say I had one drink all day, but there was a time I could say that. But even eliminating that criterion, the rest was definitely true. I also had "professionals" parsing words when it came to diagnosing my drinking habits. I'd suggest maybe taking a look at one of those online tests and see how you score. ??

It doesn't matter what you call yourself. If drinking causes you concern, it's best to stop drinking. I know that I've never woken up sober and wished I had drank the night before.
