I wish I was stronger

Went 4 weeks sober, but fell off the wagon. Yes I am starting again and feel like a looser. Sorry to everyone.

Hey Ian, Congrats on 4 weeks, we are only losing when we are not trying....
Great to hear you are back on the wagon...
Do you have a plan, ? perhaps something different or adding to your recovery.

You're not a loser. Getting sober isn't a game in which there are winners and losers.

It takes what it takes and nobody is ready to get sober until they are.

Did you drink today? No. Well neither did I so we're both good

I wasn't strong enough either. I lacked the necessary power to stay sober. I found the solution through AA. A greater power, obviously.

Like me, you need to head to the gym.

Exercise what you want to be stronger.

I don;t think it's strength we need so much as acceptance Ian.

I didn't consider myself very strong at all at 4 weeks sober, but I accepted that I needed to make different decisions if I wanted different outcomes.

Been there and done that a few times.

Just makes us appreciate our sobriety more next time around.

I also found my relapses to be humbling experiences.

Nothing wrong with being deflated. Getting rid of EGO.

You're not a loser. Just accept that you cannot control alcohol, it controls you. One day at a time.

You did 4 weeks, that tells me you are plenty strong to do this Ian. You came here as well, that tells me that you still want to stay sober as well. One of the hardest parts of being sober is admitting you need help, don't be afraid to do so. There's lots of people and programs out there that are ready to help.

This is hard, but we can do hard things.

You are not a loser, you lost this round, but you will win the war...
