Yes. Humid or not, it hot. Is like I in prison for whole summer. Is very bad for me and for sobriety when you stuck in house for month on end. I get out to cabin sometime, so I must count that blessing, but still, it getting hotter and hotter there too. (Freaking global warming!)

Question to everybody: Where you dream move be? For me, maybe Kauai or ...farm somewhere ...or Norway.

1)Amsterdam.
2)Amsterdam
3)Portland
I have only been to Amsterdam one time. I do not know what their health care system is like or what the pay rate is like for one such as I however the people were really nice, nobody thought I was American (woohoo I am cool) and the city was filled with bikes just an ocean of 2 wheeled glory, happiness and art all over the place.

And cool grey skies.

And meats and cheeses.

Same with the summer prison Cow! I really hate it, winter it is no problem to put on big boots and walk around happily plus it is all quiet and no stink.

Kauai so beautiful. Is all beaches. I go in September when not big tourist season and was best I ever feel in my life. I stay with local family and was like magical, so maybe that why I thinking of it.

Portland sound do-able, Sleepies, why no go there?

Update...

Too hot.

almost 100 with the heat index Saturday, I walked for 20 minutes plus stopped in a store too cool off but got ill. Only started feeling better today.

Yesterday and today, 90 or a bit higher but less humidity today. Still have not turned on the AC, determined to acclimate.

I stay in a dark room with a small fan and a ceiling fan. Took a short walk to the store today.

Gone are the days of blasting the AC and hunkering down with beers.

You guys didn't answer Cow's question... sorry if this is a boring thread, guest Cow was trying to liven it up!

I am going to try a few push ups now because after months of laying around depressed and having had my bike stolen my muscles are mush. Mushles... ugh.

I only do the ones against the wall though. I may do some stairs as well.

I live in the south; at least I have AC now. I remember living without AC, waking up to wash a shirt in cold water and then turning a fan towards me. It's hard to sleep when it's ridiculously hot.

I'm lucky. I visited NYC when I was about 8 and immediately realized it was the best of all possible places, and now I live here. Actually it was hard working getting here LOL & hard work staying.

Is that from American Beauty?

Sadly, it reminds me of my 1st year of art school *shudder* LOL

I did a few wall pushups and some other stuff.

I could live on an island...never been to Kauai but I love Maui!
I also had a great visit to Puerto Rico once, would love to go back there, but it's very crowded.
I could live in Colorado, or the smoky mountains / TN...both lovely places.

Don't know 'bout American Beauty -- I kind of missed out on a couple of decades of movies. I do know I saw a surprisingly-not-corny, funny, good art film of blowing trash somewhere but I don't remember where or whose. Even when I wasn't passed out, I didn't encode much info in memory for a long time Anyway, this was just something random on Youtube.

I gotta ask, with all these resort-type places, watcha gonna do all day? Me, I'd isolate which would turn into moping which would combine with my anxiety to drive me straight to the sauce! I'm nowhere near strong enough in sobriety to cope with lots of idle time.

It's nice to see the crew. How are you, kittycat? cow?

I'd like to move to Mexico City at some point. Or Spain or both. Somehow.

Have no desire for islands but if I were anxiety free I'd probably draw everyone/everything in sight and make a lot of friends that way.

Tried to do a little sketching on the train the other day but just was too nervous.
