Crying is a good thing JJay - it means you know you are hurting and doing the right thing. Follow up on those leads and keep at them if they don't reply in a timely fashion.

Besides being the worst alcoholic ever, impatience is my next worst trait. And then my family is like, "Well, Dr. Phil got them there right away!".... Okay, you have $80,000 for luxury rehab????

Impatience and the need to "control" everything around us is a very, very common trait of alcoholics. We want it all and we want it now, right? It can be changed though...I was the same exact way you are, so were most of the folks around here.

ill gamble sayin youre the worst alcoholic ever could start a huge debate. i used to think i was the worst ever, only to find out there were many just like me- i was at the same stage of alcoholism many WERE. but it doesnt matter if you feel youre the worst alcoholic ever. what matters is if youre sick and tired of being sick and tired. ready to go to ANY lengths for victory over alcohol.

patience can be taught, just as everything else involved in living life on lifes terms.

I'll skip that "huge debate" cause I don't wanna seem like I'm bragging about being a drunk but doctors were shocked...

Anyway... I got my start. They said within 24 hours. Fingers crossed.

I'll bookmark this page just in case.

nope, not unique to have doctors shocked. thats just the stage of alcoholism youre at, as WERE many others.
