I went to my first meeting. I am twenty days sober today. I went to my first meeting on Sunday night and plan to go back to the same one next week. It was a good experience. Everyone introduced themselves to me and I introduced myself as well, but I didn't talk or introduce myself formally as being new to there..although everyone was aware. Next week I am planning to speak up a bit, though. I am excited. I am also looking into going to one Saturday night meeting with someone I know who is also struggling with alcoholism. I think this could be good. One step closer to gaining more control. Just gotta keep on keeping on! I hope everyone is doing well and staying strong!! -Charlie |

Wecome...great to have a buddy system! |
Glad you are here, amigo. For me, God and AA, in that order, have been life-savers. |
Glad the meeting went well and that you intend to continue - having a primary support network is very important. |
Way to go Charx x |
Congratulations on 20 days charx53! I'm so happy you found a program you like. :) Support was key for me. |
Congrats on 20 days charlie! I enjoy meetings as well. The support and understanding were definitely what had been missing in my life. |
Great to hear you made your first meeting. Go to as many as you can in the beginning. It's often recommended to attend 90 meetings in 90 days. I'd recommend you attend as many different meetings as you can in the beginning. Here's a local shedule Find a Meeting | Alcoholics Anonymous - Area 11 Connecticut All the best to you. |
good for you Charx :) D |
