Guys... you have to tough it out.
It's a bit of a grudge match but the only way out of anything first is to quit drinking. You have to put your mind to it.

Drinking will accelerate the bad stuff, and distort things. Truth and honesty as difficult and unforgiving as it is can only be had sober. It may be painful but it is a noble endeavor. You've both got what it takes.

Let's all just be sober messes together until we aren't messes anymore and just sober

Ya know, I could never do "hot mess"... I work hard to maintain just plain old "regular" mess...But sober mess, I can do that... like nobody's business!

We are good, thank you, we've had our morning walk and now it's time for breakfast. I'm in the process of changing his diet, the food he's used to is a cheap grocery store food, and it's not good for him. He sheds hair by the pound, and now it's time to get some good, nutritious food that doesn't make him poop seven times a day.

(Sorry that I'm doing poop talk in your thread...)

I hope you are able to put these past events behind you and don't beat yourself over the head with it . You have a bunch of people here that love you and only want the best for you.

you are totally right on with this sleepie. . . thanks for this

Croutie and Jen, I really hope things feel a bit better tomorrow.
I know the last time I relapsed, I didn't feel better at all and just
had more trouble getting back to where I was before.

Sticking with the sober path is beginning to feel better and better.
It just takes time--gift yourselves that.

This is a huge part of why I never sleep. I don't feel fulfilled in my days. It literally keeps me up at night. I used to be the same way as an unsatisfied office slave. Before I discovered drinking.

I can't do anything that used to make me happy. I feel each day of my life thrown away. A step closer to the end and not a day lived save for my inebriated years.

Been there done that with volunteer work so... spare me that.

Sleepie I came across this today and it felt like it was meant to find its way to me: Looking into Laziness -- Pema Chödrön ? Lion's Roar

Not sure if it'll resonate with you as well but maybe!

When do you get the do-over on the tests, Sleeps? I'm not sure I understand what happened with the first ones that you "flubbed"...It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, but I'm very interested if you do.

Hi Fantail, Hi Delf.
Enjoying the laziness article, I like Pema.

Well as for the tests, one should be well rested and have eaten breakfast as otherwise results can be affected. So I had gotten about 90 minutes of sleep and skipped breakfast. I was dizzy and all but still did 2 hours of the tests and have to go back and finish.

Oh, yes, I remember now that you said you hadn't gotten any sleep. So it makes sense that will affect the results. And skipping breakfast too.
I'm hoping part 2 of the testing will go better!
