Hi, Calitano.
I'm glad to hear from someone who's read the book and appreciates it. I do think there's a lot to take away, sure. I hope I can implement some things he's suggested. Some things I read clicked for me immediately, and I can see I've already been doing (or close to doing) some of his suggestions on my own.
Your career change sounds exciting. Keep us posted on your progress.

I start training on Saturday.
I'm a little nervous about the driving. I'll practice some this week.
Orientation is eight hours per day Tuesday-Thursday, then another training on the job Friday. I guess that means my first day alone will be the following Saturday.
Eek.

I hope so, V.
I spoke with one of the managers on the phone today ... I let them know about my job offer and that I'm going to take it. It's a fantastic opportunity. He definitely understands. He said he'll try to work things out so that I can still work at the garden center during the week, for now, anyway. It's a seasonal job, so I'm sure they want to keep me until the summer is over.

I really am thrilled at how things are turning out.
I went after this and got it! It feels great.
Had I been drinking, I might never have taken that test. Or I might not have performed well during that crucial interview. Who knows...
I just know that I feel like my effort is beginning to pay off. And, I'll admit ... I'm quite fortunate. There were lots of people who wanted this job. I am grateful.

Fantail, I hope you're settling in and beginning work.
Jennie, I am sure you will rock on your first solo day next weekend! And, since you're in a seasonal job (and know everything about plants ), I'm sure they will keep you around as much as possible.

Thanks, Anna. Thanks for being a wonderful cheerleader and friend.
I successfully maneuvered a sticky situation (that seems to crop up often now) involving Xanax being offered to me. Ugh. I know where one leads. One is never enough.
Quite proud of myself for being rock solid about it, too.

Things are going great! I'll post more tomorrow... I had to finish up some freelance stuff after work this week and also I've just been tired. But I'm really happy and my first week was great. Thanks all for your support. Hugs. Good luck tomorrow Jennie!
