lost an acquaintance today
Hi folks. Someone I knew went out last night drinking at a bar. He left at 11:30 drunk and decided to drive. He hit a tree then a house and died at the scene. He was 25. From what I understand he liked to drink often.
In my opinion alcohol killed him. Alcohol causes us to make bad choices. It took his life.
Don't drink. Don't drink. Don't drink.
R.I.P. Tyler.

Thank you, Wayne, for sharing that news. While it is immeasurably sad, both for the young man's family and his significantly shortened life, it does serve as a reminder of the constellation of consequences that can result from drinking.
Sorry to hear about your acquaintence Wayne, that's a sad story. The area I live in is not a large city, about 100,000 total in the entire metro, but every week at least one or two people die in accidenta where "speed and alcohol" were a factor it seems. After a while they just become numbers it seems, but every one of them were someone's daughter, son, mother, etc. Even sadder is when a drunk driver takes the life of an innocent passenger, pedestrian etc.
