no cigarettes and no beer ? DANG KUDOS TO YOU!!! i quit smoking 6 months after i quit drinking.
4 days in on cigarettes they say the nicotine takes about 72 hours to get out of yours ystem so you should be out of the woods on the worst of the nicotine stuff!! I found it took about 2 weeks to feel somewhat normal after quiting cigaretttes.
Booze however took a lot longer to feel normal but hang in there drink lots of water and eat some healthy fruits and veggies!!
good job. go for a walk when you get antsy. i'd imagine no cigarettes and no booze your gonna get antsty. Just think its your energy coming back! the energy that cigarettes and booze robbed from you!.

Yeah I do get antsy sometimes, especially towards the end of the work day. I've been waking up very often soaked in sweat and having nightmares.
Thanks for all the support!!

for what its worth i was 275lbs smoked 2-3 packs a day for years and years and drank no less then 15 beers a night. I could barely friggen breath day in and day out and struggled to get up the stairs in my house. i'd wake up all night long hacking up my lungs start my mornings hacking brown crap out (gross i know) and struggling for air then i'd promptly smoke a cigarette too ::Facepalm:: did this for years.
I'm 150lbs now run 50-70 miles a week so the body does recover and heal!

I know this forum is for alcoholism but wanted to congratulate you on quitting smoking. I quit 3 years ago. Once I realized the cigarette craving only lasted about 60 seconds, I got through it. I admit I gained a little weight. But it was worth it. I can smell again. I like to buy nice smelling soaps and perfume. I also realized that I can smell someone who smokes a mile away so all those years I thought people didn't know I smoked, they actually did. It smells terrible. You will not regret quitting. Keep it up!!
