Day 11 Ok, new record for me. Old was 9 days. The difference this time was telling the wife about my issue - now she knows and I would feel too guilty to have a drink. At least right now.... |
Congrats on day 11! Being honest with my wife helped me too, but being honest with myself about my addiction helped even more. Don't forget SR is always here if you need support! |
I have known about my problem for a while and wanted to stop. I figured telling her may help me with the struggle. |
Congrats, goodnight. I agree that telling people close to us can be a help. For me, "think it, say it, write it down" has tremendous power. Keep going, you! |
And drop the "at least for now" bit. You can totally do this - 11 days is awesome. |
Congrats on 11 days sober! That's a good start. :) |
Nice job on 11 days!! Keep up the good work! Kudos to you! |

Way to go Goodnight, looking forward to more sober posts :) Congrats! |
Congratulations on 11 days |
Day 13! |
Honesty will set you free, as uncomfortable as it can be. I told my ex that I needed to take time to get sober about 1 month ago. She told me that she didn't want to support me, and we split. Although I have regrets about the relationship, I'm glad that it' s over. I wouldn't have been able to focus on sobriety if I was still keeping up that facade we all know too well: "I'm ok. You're ok." |
Congratulations goodnight :) D |
Congratulations on 13 sober days, goodnight!!!! PowerON. |
Keep up the excellent momentum Goodnight |
17 today.... Super Bowl was hard, but did it. |
Congrats on 17 days sober! :) Keep going! :) |
