Delf I would love to eat croissants with you.

I'm so impressed you gave up simple carbs and sugar, how on earth- all at once or a progression?

Foods are manufactured now to be addictive. I hate that. And I still eat it.
I never had much of a sweet tooth to begin with, Sleepie, so don't be too impressed by my giving up sugar. I find that simple carbs like white rice and white bread are really not as tasty or filling as the healthier alternatives so again, no biggie. They don't make whole grain croissants, so yeah, I'm still getting simple carbs with the treats. And I've gone back to eating a fair amount of ice cream since I quit the booze.
I changed my diet way back when I was pregnant and found out my diet was crap. I did it over the course of the pregnancy. I was motivated because of the little parasite, you know?
Of course over the years I was undoing the good of the diet with my drinking, since that's a cartload of empty calories. Ha!

By the way, try not to watch too many of those PBS documentaries. They make people stressed about everything! I think everything is amped up for you right now because of the new job. Maybe?? Hopefully you'll do better with the sleep and the food once you're settled in the new job. Then we can talk about the drudgery of work. Ah, to be a wealthy heiress...Lol.

D.

Hey Sleeps - heads up....Delfin is trying to get us all fat. She tried to push a four pack of croissants on me too, as an 'alternative' to the booze.

Just kidding, Delf...you are such a sweetie. So are you Drops, Sleeps, Trach...all of you!!! I've been taking your advice, Delf, and it's helping :-)

Hi Sleepie,

I've experienced sweatiness, fast heart rate, and irritability as low blood sugar. When I ate three meals a day, it helped. I kept it simple/no cooking until I felt up to it: Cereal, milk, fruit, for breakfast, peanut butter and jelly on whole grain bread for lunch, fruit and nuts for snack, frozen chicken burger on a bun with some frozen veggies cooked up in the microwave for dinner. I kept it very simple. I felt a lot better eating three meals a day.

You can do this. You deserve a happy, serene, sober life. (((hugs)))

Good luck on your next step. I can relate to anxiety with starting a new step in life as well as a insensitive spouse. I honestly believe the only way they can understand how hard the path is ,is to walk it. I gave up trying to explain and just let my example of a new life and new strength become self evident. God Bless!

Shabs and Sleepies (and Cow soon),

Just wanted to let you both know that I am thinking of you with the new jobs today.

New jobs are not for sissies, but luckily neither of you has a sissie bone in your body. Not saying it will be easy, but that you can do this thang.

I am also turning over a new leaf in my job today -- we can do this girls.

Lots of love.

Thanks, Drops :-) Yes, we can do this thang!

Well, I got through the first day fine. When do you start again, Sleeps? Need to know when to start ramping up the positive vibes :-)

HI Shab how was it?
I start on Wednesday, for training.
I am so nervous about everything this week it's another sleepless night and I have Dr apt. yet again at 8:30 this morning. About 4 hours from now. I tried to sleep and just had tics for 2 hours then just gave up trying to sleep. I'm a mess.

Sleeps,

I am so sorry to hear that -- sleep and food are so important to feeling well that it stinks that you are not able to get much of either.

I wish I knew what would help, but know I am thinking of you and sending all positive vibes you way.

Hang in there.

Hi all
I still haven't slept. Thanks Shab and Dropsie and Hawk thanks for asking.
I have cancelled my Dr apt. I am going to go elsewhere. I had a bad feeling about them anyway, when I called and left a couple messages they neglected to get back to me, and are kind of I don't know... they really don't have it together. Yelp revealed some awful reviews too, last thing I need is an insensitive doctor.
Nope!

Be careful with internet reviews, you'll generally find bad ones for just about everyone. Most people don't go out of their way to post good reviews either.

You could just go and see them too, it takes a long time to schedule said appointments. Remember that the person taking the appointment is not the doctor ;-)
