24 hrs alcohol free.
I'm trembling, no appetite but strangely enough, maybe I quit in time.
I got good news yesterday, I think it was the first time I smiled in 6 months.
Everything seemed to be one bad incident after another.
I also got a new years day invitation to my sister new years party Dinner which there is never any alcohol at until I'm gone.
I'm also planning a meeting today with some friend.
Only thing that went wrong was an important document came today which i had been waiting on arrived but water logged and all the ink gone off it, I would think it was the floods as they are very bad the last few weeks.
Kinda peed me off a bit but i emailed for a new one,
Happy new year to all you who have got this program and those who are struggling, we can do this together.

Great job on 24 hrs and it sounds like you have a good plan for today. I know what you mean, being so glad for just a bit of good luck. I've had a few things actually really go right over the last few months and it does feel good. For me the key is realizing that when it doesn't go right, I'm not a victim. Its just the way the ball bounces. Learning to ride to the good and the bad with an equal 'se la vie' attitude. Those old coping mechanisms....hang in there.
Happy New Year to you too Paddy. I m so glad things are starting to work out and you know it will get easier, the first 3 days are the worst.
Going to a meeting then to your sister sounds like a great plan!
Remember that it's always better to call a friend in recovery or post here before you drink
