First Sober X-Mas
I've had a million starts and stops over the past couple years. Actually have been relatively successful with many more successes than failures. I work in the alcohol industry, so it has been a huge struggle to maintain sobriety. Recently I quit both smokes and drinking, and for the first time in 23 years, I made it through Christmas without either. I went to the normal functions, had Xmas with the family, and did not touch anything! It wasn't a giant struggle, I just focused on the positives of the holiday and kept busy having fun. For Xmas, I got tickets to a show for New Years Eve, so I'm feeling confident for the first time in a long time that I'll actually make it though the holidays and be a clean and sober me on the other side.
